Iran film 'Reza' has been selected to screen at 42nd Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil.

'Reza', which is Ali-Reza Motamedi's first feature film, enjoys a romantic comedy theme.

The film narrates the story of a man in love who needs to deal with his separation from his beloved wife.

The main character of the film Reza must delve into all aspects of his personality to find out why his better half and the woman he loves cannot tolerate living with him and divorces him.

The film was screened at the 36th Fajr International Film Festival and was well-received by the film critiques.

Sahar Dolatshahi, Setareh Pesyani, Reza Davoudnejad, Afsar Asadi, Solmaz Ghani and the director himself are among the cast members of the flick.

The Sao Paulo International Film Festival also known as Mostra is composed of six sections: Special Presentations, Tributes, Restorations, New Directors Competition, Brazil Show and International Perspective. Since 2017, the event also features virtual reality films.

The 42nd edition of the festival is slated for October 18-31, 2018.
